College of Business Teaching Assistantship Application

The College of Business (CoB) provides a limited number of half-time Teaching Assistantships to full-time graduate students. Assistantships require 10 hours of work per week during the academic year.  Students selected for assistantships may be assigned to support teaching efforts in any of the college's programs. Efforts will be made to align knowledge and skills with program needs. To be considered for one of the Teaching Assistantship awards, please provide us with the following information.

The priority deadline to apply for a Teaching Assistantship is Monday, March 4, 2024. 

If you are selected for a Teaching Assistantship, you must meet the following criteria:

• Gain full admission to a graduate degree program
• Maintain graduate enrollment as a full-time student 
• Maintain a minimum cumulative UA GPA of 3.0 after starting classes as a graduate student
• Show satisfactory progress towards completing degree objectives
• Perform graduate assistantship duties satisfactorily 
• Maintain appropriate standards of academic conduct
• Honor the terms of the contract agreement
• Meet oral proficiency requirements (for international students: a minimum score of 23 on the Speaking Section of the internet-based TOEFL or a minimum score of 7 on the Speaking Section of the IELTS)
